Corporate Identity

Corporate Identity

Corporate identity is typically visualised by branding and with the use of trademarks, but it can also include things like product design, advertising, public relations etc. At Shoestring we consider corporate identity should be a primary goal for any company's corporate communications, in order to maintain and build the identity to accord with and facilitate the corporate business objectives.

In general, this amounts to a corporate title, logo and supporting devices commonly assembled within a set of corporate guidelines. These guidelines govern how the identity is applied and usually include approved colour palettes, typefaces, page layouts, fonts, and others.

The value to a company of a clear and concise set of corporate guidelines can not be underestimated. It ensures that a consistency is applied across the board to how a company represents itself to its staff, clients and its markets.
